GOALL (Go Out and Learn Life)
Greetings from GOALL (Go Out and Learn Life)! We are youth with foster care experience just like you. We are the voice of youth in SCDSS policies and practices, and if you would like to work to improve the foster care system—and make some friends and have some fun along the way—we want to share some important facts about ourselves with you!
GOALL, the state youth advisory board, consists of young leaders, 16 to 21 years of age, who are in foster care or receiving after care services. The youth on GOALL have been nominated by a youth group facilitator, case manager, group home staff, or other DSS providers. All nominees must have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills in a youth group setting (e.g. group home, youth group, school team, etc.) prior to being nominated. So if you are a leader, GOALL wants you!
If you are interested in membership on GOALL, please fill out the GOALL Membership Application Form!
Use your voice and shape your future!
